Serious Game “Talk Science” released

Today, the serious game “Talk Science” has been launched and is now available as a browser game under www.talkscience.eu

The game was developed as part of SEAWave Work Package 10, advised by a Citizen Advisory Board.

Dealing with the topic of  “mobile communications, radiation, and health”, the game aims to foster reflections on science communication and scientific uncertainty. In the game, players take on the role of a science communicator and experience how hard science communication can be in the face of different stakeholders‘ expectations.

It was designed to be used by radiation protection authorities with the idea to be helpful in their exchange with people who started to become interested in the topic, e.g. because a new mobile phone base station is built in their neighbourhood.

The game is available in five languages and takes only ten minutes. Try it out
